Haus der Kunst, Guadalajara

Christian and Helmut Köhl founded the gallery Haus der Kunst - bridge of contemporary art in Guadalajara in 1999. The gallery represents emerging and established contemporary artists, covering a wide range of media, at national and international levels. The exhibitions promoted by Haus der Kunst have been shown in Mexico and Europe. One of them "Vibrating Optics - the other side of gesture" is part of the Mexican Secretary of Foreign Affairs' program of touring exhibitions.

"Our vocation is not conditioned by market guidelines. To the contrary, we believe in a commitment with society, with context, with ecology, and mainly in the relationships between human beings. We are proud to be part of the community of Guadalajara, which was named the Arts and Culture Capital of the Americas for 2005." -Christian and Helmut Köhl
